HEATING ACCORDING TO

THE SUN'S MODEL

Imagine sitting in your winter garden on a cold but sunny winter day. You feel sun rays on your face, a soothing and intense warmth.
Slowly the winter garden heats up, including the furniture and the walls, and finally the air.

This is the principle on which infrared heating works. Like the radiant heat of the sun, it first heats the objects in the room.
The heat they radiate then gently heats the surrounding air.

With infrared heating, thanks to the pleasant radiant heat, you can reach your comfortable temperature even at lower temperatures.
This way, you can keep your energy expenditure for heating as low as possible - without having to miss comfort.

RADIANT HEATING VS. CONVECTION HEATING

The operation of conventional heating is fundamentally different from infrared heating.

ConveCtion

  • This creates air circulation in the room, where warm air rises and cold air sinks. The result of this is dust swirling.

  • The heating of room air by radiators or underfloor heating, which are usually operated by burning fossil fuels (e.g., oil or gas). The heat in the air should subsequently warm people in the room.

  • The difference in temperature between the floor and ceiling makes the indoor climate rather dry and uncomfortable. In the worst case, the temperature differences can even lead to mold growth.

  • Convection heating systems often have a high energy loss.

Infrared heating/radiation

  • The room warms up evenly due to the radiant heat.

  • The infrared heater produces radiant heat. This directly heats people, walls or furnishings. The surfaces then also release the heat into the room.

  • Radiant heat is perceived as natural and pleasant. It creates a soothing feeling, comparable to the warmth of a tiled stove.

  • Even lower temperatures are sufficient for a comfortable climate. This can save energy. In combination with, for example, a PV system and an energy storage system, independent and sustainable heating systems are created.

IS INFRARED HEATING
HARMFUL TO HEALTH?

  • Infrared heating uses long-wave infrared C radiation. This is completely harmless to humans. It is even used in medicine, for example, to treat rheumatism, improve blood flow, and purify or activate the metabolism.

The prevention of unwanted air circulation and dust swirling leads to an improved indoor climate with simultaneous mold prevention. Asthmatics in particular often benefit from the effects of infrared heating.

OUR PLUS POINTS

  • High flexibility in placement in the room. The corresponding infrared elements can be installed on the ceiling, floor or walls.

The warmth of infrared heating is quickly felt because the radiant heat is absorbed directly.

The infrared heating prevents dust and air turbulence. Therefore, it is very suitable for allergy sufferers and asthmatics.

Infrared heating does not require any water-carrying pipes. This significantly reduces the risk of water damage.

The even heat distribution on the wall, floor and ceiling prevents mold growth.

In combination with a photovoltaic system, the heating can be operated independently and sustainably.

Infrared heating can be retrofitted to all types of buildings without any problems or construction effort.

  • For the best living comfort polyHEAT systems were designed with low noise in mind.

There are no maintenance costs with a long service life at the same time.

The flexible system allows use as a central heating system but also decentralized in individual rooms.

polyHEAT from Sedlbauer can be integrated into the app Smart home as an intelligent heating control system.

The installation is easy to perform. polyHEAT can be integrated into rooms in a completely unobtrusive and space-saving way.

Thanks to the low purchase and installation costs, polyHEAT is suitable for any budget.

polyHEAT can be used with flexible secondary voltages.

FLEXIBLE FOR A WIDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS

PRODUCT PROMISE FEATURES

  • polyHEAT 400/800/1200 connection devices are suitable for both flush and surface mounting.

polyHEAT 2400 and 3200 can be used for surface mounting.

The flexible secondary voltages are freely selectable.

    Possible options are:

    polyHEAT 400/800/1200: 24 V, 36 V or 45 V

    polyHEAT 2400/3200: 36 V and 45 V

The control of several heating circuits (of 350 W or 400 W each) is possible via one device. Each heating circuit can be controlled individually.

  • Sedlbauer's connection devices supply the infrared heating elements with extra-low voltage and thus provide additional safety.

Each heating circuit is equipped with a 16A thermal circuit breaker on the secondary side.

Each toroidal transformer has a self-resetting temperature switch for safe shutdown in case of overload.

Sedlbauer's connection devices are tested and type-certified by TÜV according to EN 60335.

  • polyHEAT is compatible with different infrared heating elements.

Outside the heating period, the Power Unit is out of service without heating demand. Specifically, this means that there is no no-load loss in the toroidal transformers.

The heating system can be set up both decentralized and centralized.

With polyHEAT connection devices from Sedlbauer, the heating is unobtrusive and quiet.

Infrared heating allows flexible and fast heat as needed.

Sedlbauer's connection devices are smart-home-ready and can be implemented in intelligent heating controls.
